Lecture: Introduction to Growth & Transition Workshops
Larry will talk about leading workshops with Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, M.D. and her legacy in Tucson, the Growth & Transition Workshops sponsored by TMC for over 30 years. There will be a handout correlating Jungian concepts with their counterparts in the G & T model. Part of the G & T process is making a “spontaneous drawing” which participants will be invited to do. Anne and Larry will then teach the basics of picture interpretation, which is similar to dream work.

Workshop: Mat Work as a Path to Personal Growth
The morning exercise will lead into a demonstration of “externalization,” an emotion focused and body-oriented process known as mat work. Presented as a spiritual journey, this process can open us to a deeper compassion for self and a greater empathy for others. The G & T model is one possible path toward understanding some of the banished, unconscious voices within, which have been blocking us from reaching our full potential.

Note: Please bring paper/journal and a brown bag lunch if staying for the afternoon workshop.

Tucson Medical Center sponsors the Professional Training Program with 6.5 CEUs available per weekend for individuals who qualify. Continuing Education Units will be available after the third weekend component of the program, unless specific exceptions have been granted.
